Social Media Profile
Anyone who talks to you, would like to understand “Who are you?”, “What is your story?”, “How can I connect with you?”. And social media profiles are great way to build your story.
Guidelines
- Profile Pic: Choose a direct face shot (only face). People connect most to faces. Choose a picture which is well lighted and with a plain background and 70% of the image is covered by your face. The pics we have at https://frappe.io/about are great starting points
- Headline: Choose an interesting headline for yourself. “Leading ERPNext in United States and North America” or “Building UI / UX for Frappe”. This kind of headline should again be direct (and not too crazy).
- Bio: Add a bio for yourself. Tell your story - how you got started in the team, what are your likes, dislikes, your strengths, weaknesses. Something quirky about you. Link your blog etc.
A good social profile is a great way to set the expectations about when people interact with you. They are also a great way to build your career and public profile. It is a no brainer when you think about it.
Professional Social Networks
While LinkedIn is the default one, you can also update your profiles on Twitter / GitHub if you are active. Don't forget the ERPNext Discussion Forum if you are part of it!
Note: This is only for your professional profiles, not personal ones like Facebook / Instagram etc.
