Version Upgrade Requests
Version Upgrades vs Version Updates
A version update is generally an enhancement to the current version of the application, they are also known as patch releases.
e.g: v13.1, v13.2, v13.3, etc
A version upgrade on the other hand includes a major upgrade of the application.
e.g: v11, v12, v13, v14 and so on...
Receiving version update requests is highly unlikely since we keep our Customers on the latest stable versions of ERPNext unless the client has asked otherwise.
Handling Version Upgrade Requests
We have two types of customers i.e. Central customers and Regular Customers. Central Customers have migrated from our old infrastructure Central to FC and pay directly to Frappe.
To identify Central site, you can check their plan which could be either of
- Central Site
- Central Site Higher
- Central Site Highest.
To handle version upgrade requests from the central site, follow the instructions here.
If a regular client requests to bump their instances to the latest available releases, escalate the ticket to the FC team and they will take it further.
Classification:
- Priority -> Service Request
- Issue Type -> Version Upgrade
- Frappe Support Team -> FC Team
