Frappe, and WebNotes before it, has been around since 2008. We have built a vocabulary that is specific to our work and company. Here are some of the common ones.
GT
GT is a short for "Gheun Taak" which means "Just do it" in Marathi. Whenever we are close to making a decision or excited to launch something, someone might say "GT" to pull the trigger.
DFTBA
Short for Don't Forget To Be Awesome. At Frappe, we try to be excellent in everything we create and publish to the world. Someone might say "DFTBA" as a way of giving feedback.
GC
Stands for "Gyan, Charcha" which generally means discussions and giving advice about something. Someone might say: "We did some GC on this requested feature" which means "We did a deep dive discussion on this requested feature"
FF
Stands for Friday Forum. This happens on every Friday! Generally topics to be discussed are proposed on Gameplan beforehand. It is discouraged to come up with impromptu topics.
FF
Stands for Frappe Framework. It is an home grown framework on top of which ERPNext is built. Documentation is available here frappeframework.com. FF can mean either Friday Forum or Frappe Forum. It depends on the context. Sometimes we discuss about FF in FF!
Gameplan
Gameplan is a discussion forum where employees of the company discuss various topics. It is hosted here. https://gameplan.frappe.io/. This is exclusive to employees of Frappe Technologies Pvt Ltd. This is different from Discuss Forum which is accessible to public.
Community/Discuss Forum
This is a discussion forum for community members and public. It is hosted here. https://discuss.erpnext.com/
EPS
Stands for Energy Point System. EPS is an ERPNext feature that enables gamification of work. We can configure rules and ERPNext will allocate points to users as per rules. For example, when a user resolves an issue raised by a client, he/she receives 10 points. And there is a leaderboard that shows the energy points accumulated by each user. Find out more here.
