Legal Compliance Tracker

How does the Legal Department do Legal Compliance of the prevailing laws and regulations?

  1. Legal Compliance and review of prevailing laws are conducted once every 6months by the Legal Department. The documentation of the same is maintained in the Legal Compliance Tracker.

  2. The Legal Compliance tracker represents the Department who is responsible for the compliance of the respective laws and regulations.

  3. The Legal Compliance Tracker further includes the "Certification Number" and the "Date of Validity" since when the law or regulation is followed in the Company. It also includes the "Roles and Responsibilities" of the Department to comply with the respective laws and regulations.

  4. The Tracker is reviewed every 6months. It can be amended or it can remain the same depending on the prevailing laws and regulations and the same can be depicted via the track changes records in the document.

The current laws and regulations followed in the company are as follows:-

  1. The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017

  2. Child Labor (Prohibition & Regulation) Act, 1986

  3. Maharashtra Minimum House Rent Allowance Act 1983

  4. Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952

  5. The Goods & Services Act, 2017 (GST)

  6. Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employment Act, 1975

  7. Income Tax Act, 1961

  8. Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013

  9. The Companies Act, 2013

  10. Code on Wages, 2019

  11. Bombay Shops and Establishments Act, 1948

  12. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006

  13. Information Technology Act 2000 [ Section 43A & Section 72]

  14. Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information) Rules, 2011
