October has arguably been one of the busier months this year. We’ve shipped a lot, had even more discussions, and turned our thoughts upside down. All of it fuelled by coffee, and now it’s Frappe’s turn to spill the beans. Here’s what’s been brewing.

Catch all our latest product updates here.
We’ve moved into a new office in Vidyavihar, Mumbai, right next to our old one, only bigger. There’s room to grow, an amphitheatre, and corners made for long conversations. We hope it becomes more than a place to work: a home for culture, learning and community. Watch the documentary.
If you’d like to host a non-commercial event in our in-house third space, like a lecture, an art workshop, a meetup or a performance, write to us at [email protected].

October sessions have run their course, and for November, we have a Frappe CRM & Helpdesk Masterclass. Hosted by the folks at BWH Studios, it gives you an end-to-end overview of both products and how they can optimise your company's sales and support. Register here.

Featured: TaxJar for ERPNext: Manage sales tax lifecycle from tax computation to return filing.

Also new this month:
DocStudio, ERPNext Sri Lankan Localisation, OHADA ERPNext Localisation, VunaPOS, Lumen Restaurants, Passkeys, Ghost, Auri PMS, Jarvis, mForm, Sales AI, Zikpro UK VAT, Tabadul and Compendium
Check out Frappe Cloud Marketplace for more integrations on your Frappe site.
Some updates are features. Others shift how we build, ship and work together.
A release every month
Frappe Framework, ERPNext and Frappe HR now ship a new release every month. October brought 16.50, a polished v16 with better navigation, a new print designer and a faster kanban board. Next up are 16.60 this month and 16.70 in December.

Frappe UI 1.0
Four years after v0, Frappe UI has its first major release. It’s the Vue 3 toolkit behind around 25 Frappe apps, now with 100+ components, dark mode configuration out of the box, and screen recipes. It works without a Frappe backend too.

Flow, Insights and Studio, now part of Framework
Frappe Flow, Insights and Studio are being merged into Frappe Framework, so they come built in instead of as separate apps.
Raven v3 is out, and on your phone
Raven is faster, simpler, and now the place the Frappe team sends over 40,000 messages a month. No more PWAs either. Raven’s native app is on iOS and Android. Now you can share documents, act on workflows, and create tickets or leads straight from a chat. Raven signups are live on Frappe Cloud v2.

Frappe Cloud v2 is on its way
Frappe Cloud v2 is built on an all-new architecture. It’s in beta right now, and all app signups will move to v2 soon.

Frappe Karavan rolls through the Middle East this month. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Riyadh session. Cairo, Dubai and Doha are still on track!

The Frappe team is travelling too. Come meet us and the open source community near you, and don’t forget to grab your seat.
Community-led events have always been an integral part of what Frappe is. We’re inviting anyone interested in hosting a local event, webinar, or meetup anywhere in the world to propose their event here.
Speaking of community, Frappe & our partners, FOSS ERP and Promantia will be at Bengaluru Tech Summit from the 17th-19th of November. Register here and see us at the Frappe booth.

Two new conversations landed on The Frappe Podcast in October.
Ep27 Open Source for IoT Devices & Family Business featuring Glenn Sciortino and Josef Magri, Loop Services (Malta)
Most ERPNext partners implement the software. Loop Services builds it into the backends of IoT devices. Glenn and Josef talk about family-owned businesses in Malta, growing in a market that small, and why automation isn’t about replacing people.
Ep28 A Pragmatic Approach to Coding featuring Deepesh Garg
Is there a right way to build software? Deepesh has spent eight years at Frappe, starting in ERPNext Accounts and now building Frappe Lending. He talks about the balance between building what customers ask for and building from a blank page.
