Awe-gust of Things
If we had to describe August, we would say we squeezed a year into a month. Safe to say, we soaked ourselves in every minute of it, and our minds and bodies are pleasantly sore from all the serious fun we had. While we’re slowly easing back to our routines, it’s time to take you through the ride.

Bob the Builder

Bob the Builder

Frappe Builder gets a new pair of hands. Meet Bob, the AI assistant that can build pages, create DocTypes and wire them up to forms, all from a simple prompt. Tell Bob what you want, and Bob’s got your back. By the way, Bob pauses for your approval before executing the final change. Cool, isn’t it? Try now.

Business Apprenticeship

Our apprenticeship cohorts are open once again, and this time there’s more room for folks from the business side. We’re opening the batch to freshers as well as professionals with up to three years of experience.

We’re hiring for sales, partnerships, product marketing, and support roles. Graduates earn ₹50,000 a month, postgraduates ₹80,000, and those who raise the bar get a full-time offer by the end of December 2026.

Everyone starts the same way, with a month largely spent in customer support, paired with a couple of writing workshops. From the second month on, you get to work on live projects with your mentors.

Applications close on 5th September and shortlisted candidates interview on the 9th or 10th September, at Frappe's Mumbai office.

Frappe School

We’ve held two much-awaited bootcamps at the start of Frappeverse. Around 70 people checked in, and the feedback was uplifting.

In September, we’re bringing two fresh batches, both in Arabic.

New in the Marketplace

Our community built almost twice as many apps in August as in July. This month, 20 new apps were added to the Frappe Cloud marketplace built by partners and builders who keep finding new ground to cover. Explore the entire list to learn more.

Frappeverse Mumbai, Wrapped

The season’s truly open source event finally comes to rest. After months of preparations and sleepless nights, we were pleased to see around 1,000 folks from the community walk in for the 12th edition of our annual conference. The community got to enjoy talks on a breadth of topics. Frappe’s own products, partner and enterprise success stories across industries, and of course, the juiciest of all, AI in the Frappeverse.

After a long productive day, we got to spend the evening with Megha Rawoot and her band, with some lovely wind down music. The breakout discussion at the end gave us some food for thought, as always. With much respect for the artistic Nehru Centre, Mumbai, and after three back-to-back editions there, we’re moving on. On community demand, Frappeverse 2027 is set to happen in Bengaluru.

Talks and bits from Frappeverse Mumbai will be out soon on our YouTube channel.

Here’s what Rushabh has to say about the event.

Say Frappe!
Democracy at the Workplace

We've announced the second edition of Democracy at the Workplace. It's an unconference which builds on last year's inaugural edition, where 40 founders and HR professionals spent a day in open discussion with leaders already practising democracy led work cultures. We’ll start with open discussions, a dialogue circle on democracy and a closing conversation to tie it together. It's free to attend, hosted at Codewave in J. P. Nagar, 10 AM to 5 PM.

Brought to everyone by Codewave, Simplewise, Semco, and Frappe. Register here.

The Frappe Podcast turns one!

Our brainchild, The Frappe Podcast, completes a year. We started this as an experiment to bring stories from across the Frappe community to the mics. Today, we’re 23 episodes in, with so much love showered in from all corners. And to celebrate this little milestone, we're here for the plot. Foram Shah, our host and the creator, takes the couch this time and is being interviewed by none other than our founder, Rushabh Mehta.
Episodes 20 and 21 of TFP

Foram grew up living inside poems and wrote her first one to vent out her anger. She then started a platform for others to write and recite poetry, now joined by over a million people. Her journey has had plenty of unexpected twists, with one landing her at Frappe. Hear it in the anniversary episode.
