June Journal

It's almost the end of June, and monsoon in many parts of India is fashionably late. The El Niño effect is real, but what’s been even more real is the flood of agentic coding at Frappe for all the month. Teams have been trying and thinking through the possibilities of AI in the coding realm and how Frappe can build software that adapts a little more to the people using it.

Also, keep reading to know all that happened at Frappe Yatra 2026.

Product Updates

Data Import in Frappe Framework

We also have news to share from Frappe CRM, Frappe Cloud, and more. Head to the latest product update post for the complete details.

New in the Marketplace

Frappe Cloud Marketplace welcomed seven new apps this June built and shipped by our partner ecosystem. All of these apps are meant to ease out your experience with Frappe and ERPNext.

Frappe Code School

For years, interns have been one of the nicest ways we’ve brought fresh energy into the office. This year, we pilot the idea and introduced Frappe Code School, our own three-month apprenticeship program for students straight out of college, or maybe still in it.

We did walk-in interviews for four days, met close to a hundred students from various colleges, and hired around a batch of 18 from them. One thing we cared about and were very mindful of was building a cohort where two-thirds of the students are women. Not by lowering any bar, (the women at Frappe never needed that). But by genuinely looking for self-driven talent and deciding to nurture them.

The good part, of course, is after three months of apprenticeship where they build freely out of curiosity, a few continue with us on as full-time employees based on their progress. It’s still very early to say, but we’re very excited to see where this goes.

The India Compliance course saw huge participations, and so did the ERPNext certification batches. Frappe School had ~ 55 enrollments in a very short time and around 17 ERPNext certifications.

Adding to the same energy, we have announced two more batches in the month of July.

Frappe Yatra Highlights

Frappe Yatra finally came to a halt after a month long tour across 7 Indian cities. Our weekends have never looked so pleasantly tiring before, merits to our partner ecosystem for hosting these meetups in different locations. About 1500+ attendees turned out combined across all 7 cities, Ahmedabad being the biggest one, welcoming over 400 participants alone.

Frappe Yatra 2026

We had talks around open source, educational content in regards to ERPNext, and AI being the hot topic, goes without saying. We look forward to hosting many more community meetups in the near future.

Frappeverse Mumbai 2026

With every passing day, we’re inching closer to our annual Frappe conference. With 121 of our 143 Gold Sponsor slots already taken, it's likely to be one of our biggest editions yet. If you’ve got a story worth an audience, talk proposals close on July 6, so this is your sign to go ahead and propose a talk.

Meet our sponsors

Frappe Awards are back. We’re here, rooting for the people and teams building great things with Frappe and ERPNext. If you know someone from the community who deserves a shoutout, now's the time to nominate them.

'

And if you’re travelling all the way for the conference, don’t leave early or you’ll miss all the fun planned for day 2. Last year’s music performance turned out to be the perfect exhale after a very long, packed day, and we’re bringing it back with a new artist this year. Trust us, it’s worth staying for.

The Frappe Podcast

Episodes 20 and 21 of TFP

In Jaipur, Anupam Arya of Fabriclore tells us about his winding journey from consulting and patent research to working at the intersection of Indian craft, storytelling, and technology. You might have also seen him on Shark Tank India. In Nairobi, Mark of Upande Ltd walks us through 18 years of building across GIS systems, water utilities, and ERPNext implementations that power critical infrastructure in the background. One common thread in both the journeys is the long arc of building without rushing outcomes.
