As Specsmakers expanded to more than 275 stores across 40+ cities, managing retail operations on its existing Oracle-based system became increasingly challenging.
The business required a platform that could adapt to its evolving retail and supply chain processes while supporting its unique optical workflows.
Previous migration efforts did not meet these expectations, particularly for the custom Lens Ordering System (LOS), which plays a critical role in the company's day-to-day operations.
The organization also needed a unified platform to manage CRM, sales, purchasing, inventory, finance, POS, and supply chain efficiently across all store locations while maintaining operational consistency.

ERPNext was implemented as a centralized platform connecting Specsmakers' retail, finance, inventory, purchasing, CRM, and point-of-sale operations.

A custom Lens Ordering System (LOS) was developed within ERPNext to support the company's specialized optical business processes while following ERPNext's extensible framework.
By bringing business functions together on a single platform, the implementation eliminated the need for disconnected systems and provided teams with real-time access to operational information.
The flexibility of ERPNext also allows Specsmakers to continue enhancing its processes as the business grows.

Today, Specsmakers manages its retail and supply chain operations through ERPNext across more than 275 stores.
The implementation stands among the largest ERPNext retail deployments in the Frappe ecosystem, providing centralized visibility into inventory, customer orders, procurement, finance, and store operations.
With standardized processes and a custom Lens Ordering System, the company now has a scalable platform to support its continued growth.
