The company had three kinds of workers and a sales team, and neither HR nor sales had a clean process.

Three employee categories: on-roll, contractual and off-roll employees need different salary structures, but there were none in place, so monthly payroll was confusing and error-prone.
Unmapped employee records: employees were not correctly categorised, so it was unclear who belonged where.
Manual attendance and overtime: attendance was kept manually, which led to disputes, and overtime took hours to work out by hand.
Unstructured sales process: there was no CRM flow, so leads were lost and there was no activity history for leads and opportunities.

Separate salary structures: one structure each for on-roll, contractual and off-roll employees. HR assigns the right one when adding an employee and payroll follows from it.
Biometric integration: biometric devices send punch-in and punch-out times to ERPNext, and overtime is calculated automatically from them.

CRM workflow: every lead and opportunity follows a defined flow, and calls, meetings and follow-ups are recorded against it.
