Help people to use our tools

We believe our tools like ERPNext can help organizations reduce waste and complexity. Frappe + ERPNext has the potential to be a “full stack” replacement for not only ERP (SAP/Oracle) but also the entire enterprise stack (Java/.NET). With this scope, we should help organizations by providing products and services to help them manage their technology platforms.

Why ERPNext over SAP B1 / Oracle

Challenges

For years the Society's teaching content lived on YouTube. It was easy to publish, but it did not work as a way to run courses.

  • No learning path: videos sat across channels and playlists with no order, so newcomers did not know what to watch first.
  • No way to build courses: every topic meant recording another standalone video; there was no reusable course structure.
  • No progress tracking: neither learners nor the Society could see who had completed what, or where people dropped off.
  • No assessments or certificates: no quizzes or assignments to check understanding, and no certificate at the end.
  • Little accountability or interaction: no deadlines or reminders, unanswered comments, and little room for learners to discuss with each other.
  • Distractions: ads and recommended videos pulled learners away to unrelated content.

Benefits

  • Structured courses: videos were organised into sequenced courses with chapters and lessons, so learners always know the next step.
  • Reusable course structure: a course is built once and reused for later batches instead of being recreated.
  • Quizzes, assignments and certificates: learners test their understanding, submit work for instructor feedback and receive a certificate on completion.
  • Progress tracking: learners and instructors can see completion for each course and lesson.
  • Discussions: learners ask questions and discuss topics with instructors and each other inside the course.
  • Own platform: learning happens on the Society's own site, free of ads and recommendations.

Impact

Successful on-time ERPNext go-live

Increased sales order to cash

Increased inventory turnover

  • The Society runs its own learning platform instead of depending on a video channel.
  • Less effort to produce and run courses.
  • Certificates and structured curricula add weight to its programmes.
  • Course data shows where learners struggle, which guides improvements.
