Built to disappear in yourdaily habitat

Raven is a teams chat app built for daily communications at workplaces.

Frustration & craft

Raven came purely out of frustration and with the motive to get away from Slack. Sometimes, products are not priced according to how humans will use it.
Employees who worked in isolation sent messages very rarely. Yet, the company was charged hefty amounts because of per-user-pricing. So, we crafted our own.

Responsibility, Ownership and Freedom

Enterprise grade apps like Slack have convinced users into thinking that they need to pay more if they want to export their data. It’s absurd and does not make sense. It’s your data and you are responsible for it. And with responsibility should come the freedom to own it as well.
Frappe Framework comes with inbuilt export functionality. Thankfully, Raven does not have to do a lot on it’s own here. It uses Frameworks default data-exporter. So, you don’t have to create a support ticket to export your own data.

Sync with the Frappeverse

One of the perks of building Raven in Frappe Framework was the context it came with for free. Raven is connected with apps like ERPNext and Frappe HR.

You can configure document previews, create custom raven bots, setup notifications on documentation creation and a lot more. Raven gives you user freedom as well as developer freedom.

Thoughts from users

We’ve been using Raven for quite some time now. And genuinely speaking the experience since V3 has been shipped is phenomenal. I’d say it was shit in V2. But, the team’s rapid speed development in 6 months was phenomenal.

We ship, everything we build for ourselves.
benchmarking is done based on offerings in basic plan
Most products split features across tiers, forcing you to upgrade for what should've been yours from day one. No company should have to pay separately for basic features like security and compliance. They should be inclusive to the software and the plan.
