1. Be a part of India’s largest product-led FOSS community
Frappe is India’s largest FOSS project by some measure and ERPNext is the world’s most popular FOSS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software. The Frappe community has been coming to Frappeverse for more than 15 years, growing from 50 people to 1000 people over the years. Everything showcased at Frappeverse is 100% free and open source. We don’t do locked-in features. In spite of this, the community continues to grow and thrive commercially as well. With more than 5000 developers and ~300 service providers running sustainably with more than 50,000 live installations, there is an incredible amount of learning embedded in this community.
If you are someone who wants to be part of FOSS communities and build a sustainable career, freelance or start your own small business in the community, this is where you learn from those who have done it before.
2. De-Google yourself and reclaim your freedom
For far too long we have been dependent on big tech companies to provide us non-free software. Since software controls so much of our life and society, it should be free. Our most exciting launch this year is going to be Frappe Suite, a fully featured alternative to Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (and NextCloud). Frappe has completely switched to Suite including our daily software such as Writer, Drive, Mail, Meet and we don’t use Google any-more (other than for legacy reasons). Come and learn how you can also remove yourself from the clutches of big tech companies.
3. Be part of the ERPNext story
ERPNext has been a workhorse application for thousands of companies now and this year we have invested even more by fixing the deepest problems in ERPNext that affect scalability and correctness. ERPNext continues to get polish and breadth in terms of a large number of local extensions. Version 16 has been a choppy release so far, but the new updates promise to fix all of that. It is not just ERP, there is also a whole range of business applications from HR, CRM, Helpdesk, Learning, Lending and more.
4. Learn about the most complete developer platform in the industry
Frappe Framework is now bolstered by a whole suite of add-ons like Insights, Builder, Studio, Pilot that make it the best developer platform in the industry. Building applications in 2026 should not be so hard (LLMs or not) and we are trying to build the right tools for the right approach to solving problems, whether it is deployment, data or visual editors.
5. Find out Frappe’s take on LLMs
AI/LLMs has been the elephant in the room for the last few years and since 2026, LLMs are better at writing code than people. What does this mean for the future of software? Frappe has been late in waking up to this new paradigm, but since May we have been running experiments at full throttle. Right from getting LLMs to analyse thousands of support issues to fixing SQL injection bugs at scale, Frappe’s experiments have yielded shocking results. There is also this whole new paradigm of building products without learning any code, and LLMs have been very good at writing Frappe code.
There are several other reasons, these are just five for starters. For me, Frappeverse is meeting the familiar faces (yes, I love meeting new people as well, but the people who show up year after year are the pillars of this community).
