Ayush Chaudhari

Hey! Nice to meetcha!

I originally hail from the historical city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, but now I have fallen in love with Mumbai, where the Frappe office is, even though it has shitty weather and impossibly overcrowded local trains.

I joined Frappe in the final semester of my college. For the first 10 months here, I worked on Lending – which is, afaik, the only open source loan management system out there. I couldn't be more proud that all the work we do is completely FOSS by principle.

Right now I am working in the Frappe Cloud team tinkering with virtual machines. I am loving every last second of what I am doing!

As for my beliefs, they are very fluid. I keep on being proven wrong and forming new beliefs. Some of the better ones are:

  • Intellectual property is a myth. Information should be as free as possible.
  • All life is just extremely complex automatons made up of base particles following very specific rules. There is no meaning. We just happened (I don't have any idea about this bit, though). Still, a hack to get through life for me is to have some thing to look forward to.
  • Poverty is an artificially created effect by the ones who have the means to do it.

I love cycling. It's one of the finer things in life. You can just tune out the world for hours on an end while listening to some nice conversation. The best part is that you save up on transport! Cycling costs nearly nothing!

I love watching anime (currently watching Sakamoto Days at a snail's pace) and reading books (I'd say you should definitely read Exhalation).

Here's a song I think you should listen to before you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZZ7fKC1uNY
