"Building custom apps or creating structured data has been very easy with Frappe Framework. However, extracting information from these apps was not a very good experience. Users needed to know how to write SQL queries to create reports to get valuable insights from the data. At Frappe, we had scattered revenue data, so tracking renewals was challenging. To even understand the upcoming renewals and churn, our renewal team had to depend on developers to get the reports.
I wanted to improve the experience of building these reports and dashboards for everyone in our team. The idea then transformed into building a generic business intelligence tool that could be used to get a bird's eye view of the overall performance.
