Every update in this release is designed to simplify routine tasks, reduce friction, and make information easier to manage and access.
Extra work deserves fair recognition but calculating extra hours can be tricky.
With Frappe HR v16, overtime is automatically calculated from employee check-in and check-out times, assigned to shift-specific Overtime Types, and processed through Overtime Slips. HR can approve slips and generate Additional Salary entries directly in payroll.
Salary updates can take longer to approve, leaving employees underpaid for past months.
With Frappe HR v16, when a new Salary structure assignment is approved retroactively, the system calculates arrears automatically and applies additional salary entries for past months. Earnings, deductions, and accruals are tracked precisely in payroll and the Employee Benefit Ledger to complete payroll processing.
Employees working internationally or handling expenses in foreign currencies often face the hassle of advances and claims in currencies different from the company’s base.
Frappe HR v16 now supports multi-currency handling for Employee Advances and Expense Claims, which converts amounts, tracks exchange rates, and posts gains or losses to accounting. Multiple payments against the same advance are tracked which makes it easier for HR to reconcile and for employees to receive reimbursements worry-free.
Employees value benefits that fit their needs but managing them could be complex.
Frappe HR v16 brings flexible benefits. Employees can handpick perks offered by their employer like health insurance, pension plans, and others. Benefits can accrue each payroll cycle or be claimed when needed, and all payouts and accruals are tracked in the Employee Benefit Ledger.
Sometimes employees need more or fewer leaves. Manually correcting leave allocations creates room for confusion.
With Frappe HR v16, leave adjustments are simple: HR can increase or reduce allocated leaves directly from existing leave allocations. A new Leave Adjustment record is created automatically and keeps leave balances accurate and up-to-date.
Keeping track of earned leave can lead to missed credits in employee leave balances, which is unfair.
This is now taken care in v16 where earned leaves are credited automatically based on your policies and schedules, with successful credits highlighted in green. If something goes wrong, HR gets a heads-up and can fix it with a click.
Sometimes employees move to new teams or branches, and the holidays they follow can change. Earlier, updating holiday lists would erase old records and cause confusion.
With Holiday List Assignment in place, this is now fixed. Now you can assign multiple holiday lists to employees or the company, keep past records, and make sure leave calculations always use the right holidays.
