How we delivered a 6x faster multilingual supported E-commerce portal which has a product catalog of 3,50,000+ products.

This is the one of its kind completely Open Source RTL supported Frappe app whose frontend is built using Tailwind, Alpine and HTML which you can install into your Frappe instance seamlessly.

In this talk we will present a walkthrough of our journey, the mistakes we made (SOS), the challenges we faced (Limitation of Vanilla ERPNext and Webshop), how we pivoted from fighting the stack to working with fundamentals and most important of all, the lessons we learned.

We will highlight how one can leverage Frappe and ERPNext features to enhance his/her developer experience. For example: repurposing DocTypes like Quotation for cart, Payment Entry for refund tracking or use of www directory for portal pages, building bulk operations for thousands of product variants and creation of custom DocTypes when everything else falls short.
