The first week of every month, there’s an Open Day at Frappe. The team-mates present their performance for the past month and share the roadmap for the coming month. For December, we had twelve presentations, nine individuals, and three teams.
After open day, one high-performing presenter is chosen as the contributor of the month. The reason why the team decided to come up with the COTM is to call out people who raise the bar and live Frappe’s values. This could be their reward for excellent work in the form of nominations and voting. The winner is decided through a poll where each team-mate present on the call will have to cast their vote.
The winner has a methodical mindset
Rijul was hired through the campus placements from NMIMS in 2020. He is fond of putting the puzzles in the right place and likes to fix problems. Since support at ERPNext is considered as the act of baptism at Frappe, he joined the support team. There he gained product knowledge and completed his evals, which made him a certified ERPNext Consultant. Post which he moved to the Cloud Onboarding team, where he used to help the customers with the product knowledge and make a smooth transition.
By the start of 2021, the enterprise implementation team was looking for a teammate who is well acquainted with the product and knows the implementation process. After a good learning curve that Rijul had, he started with the enterprise implementation. This profile aligns with his nature since he loves to work in a diverse culture, he felt that he fits in perfectly. In one timezone he gets to talk to customers from the US, while in another timezone he is talking to an Indian customer. Every industry is different and he is getting to learn something new daily, which helps him gain a fresh perspective.
While he is off-duty he loves to travel. He likes to cook, is a fitness freak, and recently learned stock trading.

Dream Team on the roll
The Dream team is one of the ERPNext implementation teams at Frappe. The teams here are divided based on domains, regions, visions, and team balance. Rijul, Ajay, Shachi, Shobhit, and Vrinda Menon are a part of this team. They gather requirements from the clients and phase-wise implement the modules.
On this open day, the team members' presentation gave us a detailed insight into the projects and their whereabouts. They completed the ISO audit with no NC’s. They took 200+ evaluations, which in turn helped other teammates get certified.
Rijul won the title of the contributor of the month for December 2021. He was acknowledged for his exceptional efforts in implementing the go-live projects. Along with leadership, he is also mentoring Shobhit, and Vrinda. He took responsibility for six projects from the various industries and mentioned the progress of each project:
Vesta Si (Sweden)- He completed high-level project planning with the Vesta Si team. The Finance and Accounting module will be configured soon.
SKF Saudi Arabia - The project went live in November with accounting, buying, selling, stock, and asset modules. Rijul has been helping them with the post-go-live support, invoices, support issues, and errors.
Thrust Systems - The project scope has been modified and the team has decided for the UAT and will go live by mid-Jan.
Rangsutra (India) - Rangasutra went live with the first phase. UAT is being done for phase 2, which is tentatively scheduled to go live in Feb 2022.
Team decision matters
The key to getting acknowledgment for your accomplishments at Frappe is to keep your work transparent and share it with your fellow teammates. It helps you get instant feedback that creates a scope for improvement, secondly, this is your immediate dopamine booster. :)
Like always, the team-mates presented their work and the contributor of the month was selected based on votes. The below-mentioned screenshot is the poll conducted to decide the best performer. Rijul got the maximum number of votes.

Words by the winner
Rijul is delighted and surprised to have won as the contributor of the month. With these mixed feelings, he has few words to say, "first of all, I would like to recognize the immense hard work of the other nominees. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my work because I am very sure that every other nominee for this award was as capable if not more.
Praise and recognition are crucial components of well-rounded work cultures and environments. The team has always motivated me and pushed me to stretch and expand my limits. I express my gratitude for all the support that the team and my seniors have provided to me.
I feel humbled to be voted as 'contributor of the month'. Working in such a high-performing environment is always very inspiring and motivating. And I'm glad that I can play a small part in the story of Frappe's achievements.”
