Hello, People of Frappeverse!
Here we come with a new chain of blog posts on our favourite education platform! In this monthly series of blogs, I will share the latest updates and behind the scenes stuff from Frappe School.
Let’s jump right into the very first edition!
LMS Revamp
If you follow me on twitter X (honestly, can't get myself to say it 😆), you might have already come across this tweet about the Frappe LMS frontend revamp. Jannat deployed the bleeding-edge version of Frappe LMS (soon to be Frappe Learning) on Frappe School site and it looks slick!
You can read more about the rewrite here.
New Courses
We, as a team, have recently shifted our focus from live cohorts (training batches) to course/content creation. In the coming months, we want to have a variety of courses for the Frappe Ecosystem.
Really happy to share that three new courses went live last month:
Frappe Framework Bootcamp (link)
This course (by yours truly 😀) combines the comprehensive training content from our in-person batch in Dubai, hands-on assignments, and more. If you want to build apps with Frappe Framework, and become a Frappe developer, this is where you should start! You also have an option to get certified after you have completed this course, more on this soon.
Frappe Partner Onboarding (link)
Rushabh, Michelle, Parth, and Dipen from our team did a recording sprint for this one! This course is structured to onboard new partners by giving them high level overview of the Frappe Partner ecosystem and provide guidance on how to go about learning more and excelling in providing services in the Frappeverse.
ERPNext Training (link)
In this course, you are going to learn the essentials of ERPNext, from the best. This course first covers core modules like Accounting, Stock, Buying, Selling, and more. Then you will also learn to manage your HR operations and Payroll with FrappeHR! Kudos to Sayali for putting this course together!
New Ways to Get Certified
We realised that many times attendees already have the required knowledge to get certified and don’t need instructor-led training. In this case, they had to wait for a batch, enrol and apply for evaluation. Also the content covered in each cohort is almost identical. One of our major goals with introducing the comprehensive training courses for Framework and ERPNext was to enable new (and faster) ways for getting an official certification.
Direct Evaluation and Certification
You now have an option to directly purchase a certification add-on after completing either the Framework Bootcamp or the ERPNext training:
New Format Batches
We have also started a new format of certification batches that will run every month and will include a live QnA session to compliment the courses (without instructor-led training). Check out all the upcoming batches here.
Note on Pricing
Since this new ways to get certified do not involve instructor-led training, they have a lower price of ₹15,000 (~$180), making them more accessible.
Community Partnerships
A.K.A. Frappe School as a Platform folks!
We have onboarded our very first certified trainer from the community: Nikhil Kothari, founder and CEO of The Commit Company. You can find out more about him in this nice blog.
Frappe Framework Training, May 2024
Nikhil is running his very first instructor-led Framework certification batch from 29th May, 2024 to 1st June, 2024. You can visit Frappe School here to get yourselves enrolled.
Behind The Scenes at FS
As part of our goal to focus on quality content this year, we have started actively looking into two important things at Frappe School:
Unanswered questions in course discussions
Ratings and Reviews
Now anytime a user leaves a rating or posts a new question on any course, we will be notified by our very own Telegram bot:
