This month was filled with many major features that were being requested by the community for quite some time.

Add SCORM Packages as Chapters

Instrutors can now add SCORM packages as chapters to their courses. All you have to do is create a new chapter in your course, in the dialog, enter the chapter title and enable SCORM Package. Then upload the zip file of your SCORM package and click on the create buttom. Your chapter gets created.

When a student visits such chapter the package would be rendered to them as a lesson. When a SCORM package returns cmi.core.lesson_status as passed, the lessons get marked as complete, and the student can proceed to the next lesson.

Write beautiful Bio

Users can now add more descriptive bios to your profile of the system. The bio field is now a rich text editor. So users can now add links of their achievements and highlight certain sections in their bio.

Create Journeys with Learning Paths

Many of you wanted to create a path for your students so that students have a clear idea of their journey. This is now possible through Frappe Learning. Moderators will have to enable Learning Paths from the settings.

Instructors can create Programs in the system. To each program they can add courses and members. Only courses with self learning disabled can be added to programs. The order in which they add courses is important as that will be the order in which students will be asked to complete their courses. They can change the order of courses too. The program form also shows them the progress made by each student in that program.

When learning path is enabled, students would see the default course list. They will see the programs assigned to them along with the courses in each of it. Clicking on a course enrolls them to it. They can start with the first course and complete it before moving to the next. They won't be able to access the second course without completing the first.

Search for the Right Job

Users can now search for jobs on the job list. The search keyword they enter would look for jobs that have this keyword in the job title, or company name. They job list will display the matches accordingly.

Onboard with Ease

We have tried to make it a bit easier to create a new course on a fresh instance. Instructors now see a clear card indicating the next action for them. On the course form they see instructions as placeholder for each field. The lesson form also now has a sidebar with instructions on how to add different type of content. Clicking on the title opens up a modal with the video that demonstrates the same.

Delete chapters and Courses from the Portal

Instructors can now delete chapters right from the portal. But this should be done carefully as deleting a chapter deletes all the lessons in it too.

Similarly, courses can now be deleted from portal as well. But deleting a course deletes all its linked documents such as chapters, lessons, and all its enrollment.
