It makes us extremely proud to announce that ERPNext was used as an educational tool at the School of Accounting and Finance in the University of Waterloo, one of world finest Universities.

It is great validation of our efforts over the years and we thank Dr Theo Stratopoulos for taking this initiative. In his words:

I used ERPNext in my class as an optional assignment. Several students responded to this offer and their overall feedback was positive. They felt that the software was intuitive and the manual was very helpful.

I think that you may find the following observation made by one of my teaching assistants (TAs) useful: " ... the more adept students will not even need to use ERPNext's manuals because they'll be able to figure it out on their own, but there will always be that backup manual for those that are not comfortable with this kind of software."

My view is that ERPNext is a great tool for introducing students to ERP and I am planning to make this a mandatory assignment next year. I will work with my TAs and some of my current students ironing out the details of the assignment during the fall and winter term in order to have it ready for the next offering of the course.
