VP - Partnerships

Mohammad Umair Sayed

Born in 1987, rooted in Mumbai, India. I come from a vernacular medium, and I was a ranker in a very mediocre school. Given the family aspiration, my career goal became engineering, but I became a management graduate by destiny.

I consider myself lucky to be one of the co-founders of Frappe Technologies PL. The experience of witnessing Frappe Framework and ERPNext has been a privilege. Frappe has always been principled, as we literally built an open-source (and free) product, even when there was no money in the bank account.

Thanks to the blessing of a long tenure at Frappe, I have experimented with multiple roles. I have leveraged my product expertise to the max by being a support guy for 6-7 years. After that, I led the implementation team as we searched for a business model in services. Post-COVID period, I took the role of VP Partnerships, packed my bag and travelled across the world to boost the ecosystem. I kept mentoring Frappe School, esp. for the certifications initiative.

After seventeen years of journey, I still consider myself a learner. The young team of product and ecosystem builders keeps us, the oldies, honest, hungry and rooted.
